Lagoas do Litoral Norte do RS são tema de exposição em Porto Alegre
Prezados,
Segue links enviados pela Sra. Miriam Claussen, do Banrisul, referente a uma exposição itinerante coordenada por ela sobre as lagoas do Litoral Norte Gaúcho.
O Comitê aderiu a exposição compondo um banner com nossas informações.

Região abriga mais de 40 lagoas entre Balenário Pinhal e Torres.
Mostra vai até o dia 28 de junho na agência central do Banrisul.

As lagoas do Litoral Norte do Rio Grande do Sul são tema de uma exposição em Porto Alegre. A mostra itinerante que já percorreu diversos municípios do estado pode ser conferida na agência central do Banrisul (Rua Capitão Montanha, nº177, Centro), das 10h às 16h, até 28 de junho.
A mostra é composta por nove painéis que abordam diversos aspectos das lagoas, como a biodiversidade, geografia e história. Textos explicam a formação geológica da região, desde a era Mesozoica até os dias atuais, a história da navegação lacustre entre Osório e Torres e o transporte integrado por trem até Palmares do Sul, no início do século XX.
Ao todo, existem mais de 40 lagoas localizadas entre o Balneário Pinhal e Torres, entre elas as lagoas Itapeva, Barros, Quadros e Tramandaí. A região apresentada uma grande biodiversidade da flora e da fauna, com variedade aproximada de 120 espécies de peixes, além de uma vegetação característica que vai da úmida à seca.
A iniciativa é uma parceria do Grupo Estratégico de Gestão Socioambiental do Banrisul com pesquisadores da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) e o Comitê de Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Tramandaí. Essa entidade desenvolve um trabalho articulado com a ONG Ação Nascente Maquiné nas comunidades locais.
